  • DashiOr: Dashi broth

  • Spring onions

  • Takoyaki sauce

  • Mayonnaise

Method

Step by step

    Cook octopus or squid and cut into pieces.

    Mix batter from flour, dashi, eggs and water.

  3. 3

    Heat and grease takoyaki pan.

  4. 4

    Pour batter into the wells, drop a piece of octopus into each.

  5. 5

    Add spring onions and beni shoga, turn the balls with a skewer.

  6. 6

    Bake until golden all around.

  7. 7

    Serve with takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito and aonori.
