  • Milk

  • Eggs

  • Raisins

  • Clotted cream

Method

Step by step

    Preheat oven to 220°C.

    Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt.

    Add cold butter in pieces and work into crumbs.

    Incorporate raisins.

    Add milk and quickly knead into a dough.

    Roll out 2.5 cm thick on a floured surface.

    Cut out scones with a round cutter, re-form scraps.

    Place on a baking sheet, brush surface with beaten egg.

    Bake 12–15 min until golden.

    Serve lukewarm with clotted cream and jam.
