Method

Step by step

    Preheat oven to 180°C, grease a springform pan.

    Whisk eggs with sugar and salt until thick and foamy.

    Mix flour, cocoa and baking powder, fold in.

    Fold in melted butter.

    Bake 30–35 min, cool.

    Slice the cake horizontally 2–3 times.

    Drain sour cherries, bind juice with starch, cool.

  8. 8

    Whip cream with stabilizer and vanilla sugar to stiff peaks.

    Soak bottom layer with kirsch, fill with cherries and cream.

  10. 10

    Repeat layers, coat with cream, decorate with chocolate shavings and cherries.
