Method

Step by step

    Preheat oven to 180°C, grease a loaf pan.

    Melt chocolate over a water bath.

    Cream butter with sugar.

    Incorporate eggs one by one.

    Stir in melted chocolate and vanilla.

    Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt.

    Alternately stir in flour mixture and milk.

    Pour into pan, bake 50–60 min, toothpick test.
