Step by step

    Preheat oven to 175°C, grease 2 springform pans.

    Mix flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

    Cream 100 g butter with sugar.

    Incorporate eggs one by one.

    Stir in vanilla and food coloring.

    Alternate stirring in flour mixture and buttermilk.

    Fold in apple vinegar last.

    Divide batter between 2 pans, bake 25–30 min.

    Frosting: cream remaining butter with cream cheese and powdered sugar.
