    75 g
  • Water
    200 ml
  • Salt
    ¼ tsp
  • Bay leaves

Method

Step by step

    Wash lentils (red lentils do not need to be soaked).

    Start with water, bay leaf and garlic.

    Bring to a boil, then simmer over medium heat for about 20-25 min.

    Salt only at the end (prevents skins from getting hard).

  5. 5

    Remove bay leaf and garlic.

  6. 6

    Depending on use, leave slightly firm or simmer until soft.
