  • Onions
    1 Stk
  • Garlic cloves
    1 Stk
  • Ginger
    1 cm
  • Cumin
    ½ tsp
  • Garam MasalaOr: Curry powder
    ½ tsp
  • Tomatoes 150 g pureedOr: Pureed tomatoes

  • Yogurt
    50 g
  • Whipping cream
    30 ml
  • Cilantro
    1 bunch
  • Eggs
    1 Stk
  • Chili pepper
    1 Stk
  • Iodized salt
    ¼ tsp
  • Pepper
    1 tsp
Method

Step by step

    Combine lamb mince with finely chopped onion, pressed garlic, egg, 1 tsp cumin, salt and pepper.

    Form small balls from mixture.

    Heat oil in a pan, fry kofta all around, remove.

  4. 4

    Finely chop remaining onion, ginger and chili, sauté in pan.

    Add garam masala and remaining cumin.

    Add tomatoes, simmer 10 minutes.

    Stir in yogurt and cream, gently warm.

    Return kofta to sauce, steep 10 minutes.

    Season with salt.

    Serve sprinkled with cilantro and rice or naan.
