Step by step

Process flour, cold butter cubes, sugar, egg, baking powder, vanilla sugar and salt into streusel.

Press two thirds of streusel as base into a springform pan.

Drain cherries, reserve juice.

Whisk juice with starch, bring to a boil.

Fold in cherries, let cool.

Place cherry mixture onto the base.

Distribute remaining streusel on top.

Bake at 180°C for about 40 min.
