  • Mustard
    ½ tbsp
  • Honey
    ½ tbsp
  • Beer
    60 ml
  • Broth
    50 ml
  • Pepper
    ¼ tsp
  • Thyme
    2 sprigs
  • Vegetable oil

Method

Step by step

    Pat kassler dry, sear all over.

    Roughly cut onions and carrots.

  3. 3

    Whisk a glaze from mustard and honey.

  4. 4

    Brush kassler with it.

  5. 5

    Place in a roasting pan with vegetables.

  6. 6

    Pour in beer and broth.

  7. 7

    Braise at 180°C for about 70 min.

  8. 8

    Baste every 20 min.

  9. 9

    Serve with sauerkraut and mashed potatoes.
