  • Chicken thighs 0.25 kg boneless
    as needed
  • Plain yogurt
    50 g
  • Garlic cloves
    1 Stk
  • Lime juiceOr: Lemon juice
    ¾ tbsp
  • Olive oil
    1 tbsp
  • Cumin
    ½ tsp
  • Sweet paprika
    ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder
    ¼ tsp
  • Turmeric
    ¼ tsp
  • Cinnamon stick 0.25 tsp ground
    as needed
  • Pita bread
    1 Stk
  • Tahini
    1 tbsp
  • TomatoesOr: Vine tomatoes

  • Parsley
    1 bunch
Method

Step by step

    Mix yogurt with pressed garlic, lemon juice, olive oil and all spices.

    Cut chicken into strips and marinate at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.

    Preheat oven to 220°C.

    Spread chicken on a tray and bake 25–30 minutes until edges are crispy.

    Stir tahini with 3 tbsp water, a little lemon juice and salt into a creamy sauce.

    Briefly warm pita and cut open.

  7. 7

    Finely dice tomatoes and cucumber, mix with parsley into a salsa.

  8. 8

    Fill pita with chicken, salsa and tahini sauce and serve.
