  • Chickpeas cannedOr: Chickpeas dried
    200 g
  • Tahini
    25 g
  • Lime juiceOr: Lemon juice
    1 tbsp
  • Garlic cloves
    1 Stk
  • Olive oil
    20 ml
  • Cumin
    ¼ tsp
  • Water 20 ml ice cold
    as needed
  • Iodized salt
    ¼ tsp
  • Pita bread 1 pc for serving
    as needed
  • Paprika sweet
    ¼ tsp
  • Parsley
    1 bunch
Method

Step by step

    Drain and rinse chickpeas.

    Optional: remove skins for extra creamy hummus.

    Place chickpeas with tahini, lime juice, pressed garlic and salt in a blender.

    Puree very finely.

    Add cumin and 50 ml olive oil, continue to puree.

    Add ice-cold water drop by drop until hummus is very creamy and airy.

  7. 7

    Spoon into a bowl and smooth, form a well with a spoon.

    Fill with olive oil, sprinkle with paprika and parsley.

    Serve with warm pita bread.
