  • Tomatoes pureed

Method

Step by step

    Cube beef into 2 cm pieces.

    Finely cube carrots, celery and leek, finely chop onion and garlic.

    Heat olive oil in a large pot, sear meat sharply all over.

    Add onion and garlic and sauté along.

  5. 5

    Deglaze with broth and pureed tomatoes, add bay leaf and lovage.

    Simmer 60 min.

    Add carrots, celery and leek.

  8. 8

    Sprinkle in barley, simmer another 30 min.

  9. 9

    Adjust with salt and pepper.

  10. 10

    Serve sprinkled with parsley.
