- Chickpeas cannedOr: Dried chickpeas200 g
- TomatoesOr: Pureed tomatoes1 Stk
- Onions1 Stk
- Garlic cloves1 Stk
- Ginger½ cm
- Garam masala½ tsp
- Curry powder¼ tsp
- Turmeric¼ tsp
- Coriander powder½ tsp
- Cumin¼ tsp
- Cilantro1 bunch
- Lime juice¼ tbsp
- Iodized salt¼ tsp
- Chili pepperOr: Chili flakes1 Stk
Method
Step by step

Finely chop onions, garlic and ginger.

Heat oil in a pot, fry onions golden brown.

Add garlic, ginger and chili and briefly cook.

Stir in cumin, curry powder, coriander powder, turmeric and garam masala and toast for 1 minute.

Dice tomatoes and add, simmer 5 minutes.

Drain chickpeas, rinse and add.

Add 200 ml water, season with salt.

Simmer over medium heat for 15 minutes.

Season with lime juice and sprinkle with cilantro.

Serve with rice or naan.
