- Iodized salt¼ tsp
- Sugar¼ tsp
- Sunflower oilOr: Butter¼ tbsp
- Poppy seedsOr: Sesame seeds¼ tbsp

Step by step

Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water with sugar.

Mix flour with salt, add yeast water and oil.

Knead vigorously for 8 minutes into a smooth dough.

Let rise covered in a warm place for 60 minutes.

Divide dough into 8 equal pieces, shape into balls.

Let proof on parchment paper for another 30 minutes.

Preheat oven to 220°C, place a tray of water on the oven floor.

Score rolls, spritz with water and sprinkle with poppy seeds.
