- Cod fresh150 g
- Flour50 g
- BeerOr: Guinness beer60 ml
- Eggs1 Stk
- Baking powder¼ tsp
- Sunflower oilOr: Rapeseed oil¼ l
- Iodized salt¼ tsp
- Pepper1 pinch
- Lemon juice¼ tbsp
- Remoulade1 tbsp
Method
Step by step

Cut cod fillets into portions, season with salt, pepper and lemon.

Mix flour, baking powder and salt in a bowl.

Add beer and egg yolk, whisk into a thick batter.

Whip egg whites stiff and fold into the batter.

Heat oil to 175°C.

Dredge fish fillets in flour, dip in beer batter and fry in hot oil 4–6 min until golden.

Drain on paper towels, serve with remoulade and lemon.
